Krappen played a Dutch lady for the fourth time in a row in the quarterfinal and for the first time she managed to win her quarterfinal. Mieke de Boer was swept aside 2-0, after which Krappen won the tournament. Gulliver defeated Anastasia Dobromyslova, who reached the quarterfinal surprisingly in 2004, in the quarterfinal.
