WDF Europe Cup Men Teams 1996

Europe Cup X was held at the Astoria Convention Centre in Bundoran in Ireland from October 9 to 13th. No less than 23 countries participated in the men’s event, which was a new record. Austria, Spain, Hungary and the Isle of Man were the newcomers.

In the team event, like two years ago, the English team (Martin Adams, Andy Fordham, Ronnie Baxter and Steve Beaton) and Wales (Eric Burden, Sean Palfrey, Marshal James & Mark Salmon) met in the final. Again it was England who took the victory 9-5.

Losing semi-finalists were Scotland (Alan Brown, Bob Taylor, Les Wallace & Andrew Wallace) and the Netherlands (Raymond van Barneveld, Roland Scholten, Co Stompé & Braulio Roncero)
