WDF Europe Cup Ladies Singles 1982

At the third European Cup darts the WDF also organise the first ladies Cup. For the first time the ladies get a chance at the International darts level. They have their own separate competition. Twelve countries participated on 15 and 16 October at the Cliffs Pavilion in Westcliff on Sea.

Each country was represented by two female players and played in singles and pairs where points were awarded to each component from which a final table was made. Twelve countries participated in the first European Cup darts for women.

In the singles it was all about Wales. Both ladies made it to the final. The number one in the Women's International Rankings, Maureen Flowers from England lost 3-0 in the quarterfinals to the world’s number two Sandra Gibb. In the semi-finals Sandra beat Northern Ireland’s Kate Lynch with the same score line. In the other semi-final Ann Marie Davies beat Linda Batten.

In the final Sandra defeated her teammate Ann-Marie 3-1. Sandra averaged 21.70 and Ann-Marie 20.30, which was surely nice for the time.
