In 2012, the tournament moves to the Butlins resort in Minehead. It appears to be a good choice because the venue was packed and the atmosphere great. The tournament is played from 29 November to 2 December.

Dave Chisnall is the number one in the ranking list in 2012, but loses in the first round to Wayne Jones without winning a leg. The number four seed Raymond van Barneveld also loses in the first round. Barney bows out to Steve Beaton in an eleventh and decisive leg.

The winner in 2012 is Phil Taylor although he has a close shave in his quarterfinal against Andy Hamilton. He falls behind 5-9, but still manages to win. The Power wins the final 13-6 against Kim Huybrechts. The Belgian Hurricane played a great tournament including wins over Vincent van der Voort, Michael Smith, Peter Wright and Justin Pipe.
