In 2013 the PDC start their World Tour. In that first year Dubai and Sydney are the stops. In Australia the top eight in the world play against eight local qualifiers in the first round.

Clinton Bridge is the man responsible for the upset. The rest of the tournament is a lot more predictable. The four highest-ranked players reach the semi-finals, the numbers one and two in the world reach the final and Phil Taylor wins the tournament. He does so by averaging over 108 in his the last three matches.
