In 2016, the Euro Tour consists of ten tournaments. Netherlands, Austria and Gibraltar remain on the calendar and no less than seven stops are in Germany.

The fifth edition of the Dutch Darts Masters was held at the Evenementenhal in Venray from 12 to 14 February.

Defending champion Michael van Gerwen scored a hat trick of wins in 2016 by winning the tournament for the third time in a row. In his five matches against John Henderson, Justin Pipe, Dave Chisnall, Mervyn King and Daryl Gurney, he never gives up more than three legs and therefore wins the title convincingly.

The big surprise this tournament is the Northern Irishman Daryl Gurney who reaches the final of a PDC tournament for the first time in his career. He defeats Jyhan Artut, Brendan Dolan, Peter Wright, Adrian Lewis and Mensur Suljovic and also records a record nine 180’s in his match against Wright.
